What an 'ahaa' moment this was. A colleague showed me this keyboard shortcut and I cannot believe I didn't know about it before... We all know Print Screen (on Windows) and how you can grab a screenshot and it is automatically copied to your clipboard. But do you know what Alt-PrtScrn does? If you don't then try this: Open any application and resize the window (make it fairly small, for example a small Flash movie in the standalone Player), then give it the focus and hit Alt-PrntScrn. Now open an email and paste...
Yeah go on, laugh at me but I seriously did not know you could take selective screengrabs like this. My life has just got better (I seriously hope I am not the only one who didn't know this one). Do you know any useful keyboard shortcuts? Post them in the comments.

Here or some other nice shortcuts ;)
Strg+Esc => An alternative to the "Windows"-Key
Win+D => Minimize all programs
Win+R => Execute
Win+F => Windows search
Alt+F4 => Close current focused window
Alt+S => Jump into addressbar (For IE and Firefox)

Ctrl+F4 -> Closes any document inside an Application
Alt+F4 --> Closes any program and also exits Windows
Ctrl+A --> Selects all text in any document
Ctrl+F --> Pops up the search box within an Application
Win+M ---> Shows Main Desktop
Win+U ---> Starts the Text-to-Speech program (Narrator)

Unfortunately using Alt+PrtScrn will not save the Windows media player image using the 'Paint program'. Please show us how to do that for "FREE" using XP Home Edition without additional cost for software, if you can.
